The Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed offensive lineman Jacob Brammer to a one-year contract extension and signed quarterback Jordan McCloud on Monday.

Jacob Brammer is six foot four and weighs 301 pounds. The 26-year-old from Richmond, Texas, started 17 games in 2025 to help them win the 112th Grey Cup over the Montreal Alouettes.

Saskatchewan’s offense averaged 24.8 points per game, 382.6 average net offense per game, 103.8 rushing yards per game, 289.2 passing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and allowed 26 sacks.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Brammer on December 23, 2023. In 2024, Brammer appeared in five games. Saskatchewan’s offense averaged 26.6 points per game, 355.7 net offense per game, 89.6 rushing yards per game, 278.8 passing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and 35 sacks allowed, finishing 9-8-1 in the regular season. They were eliminated in the Western Final against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

Collegiately, Brammer played four seasons at North Texas (2018-21), playing right tackle in 39 games for the Mean Green. In 2021, North Texas’s offensive line helped block for the best-rushing offense in CUSA (233.5 ypg), a unit that ranked fifth nationally. Brammer was named Second Team All-C-USA in 2020.

Then, Brammer transferred to Vanderbilt in 2022, playing 12 games, of which he started 11 of them. He saw the field for 718 snaps all at right tackle. Vanderbilt’s offensive line allowed 15 sacks in 12 games, the fourth-best mark in the Southeastern Conference.

Jordan McCloud is six foot and weighs 205 pounds. The 26-year-old from Tampa, Florida, attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, McCloud started his collegiate career at the University of South Florida (2018-20), completing 244 of 418 passes (58%) for 2,770 yards, 21 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 167 carries for 357 yards, five rushing touchdowns, made one catch for 18 yards, punted the ball one time for 35 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 20 games for the Bulls.

Next, he transferred to Arizona State (2021-22). In 2021, he completed 48 of 72 passes (67%) for 481 yards, two touchdowns, five interceptions, and 18 carries for 75 yards in three games for the Wildcats. He did not play in 2022.

Then, McCloud transferred to James Madison University in 2023, where he completed 281 of 412 passes (68%) for 3,657 yards, 35 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 96 carries for 276 yards, eight rushing touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games for the Dukes. He was named First Team All-Sun Belt and the Sun Belt Player of the Year after finishing second in passing touchdowns and passing yards.

McCloud concluded his collegiate career at Texas State in 2024, completing 273 of 390 passes (70%) for 3,227 yards, 30 touchdowns, 13 interceptions, 74 carries for 278 yards, seven rushing touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games for the Bobcats. He was named Third Team All-Sun Belt. He was on the watch list for the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Class of 2024, Maxwell Award, Walter Camp Award, Manning Award, and the Reese’s Senior Bowl.
