The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed quarterback Jake Dolegala, signed running back Larry Rountree III and wide receiver Jesse Matthews, and released wide receiver Drew Wolitarsky on Monday.

Jake Dolegala is six foot seven and weighs 242 pounds. The 28-year-old from Hamburg, New York, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on June 8, 2025. In 2025, he had 22 carries for 50 yards and one rushing touchdown in 12 games.

Dolegala signed with the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2019. He also spent time with the New England Patriots twice, the Green Bay Packers twice, and the Miami Dolphins.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Dolegala on February 15, 2022. In 2022, Dolegala completed 16 of 35 passes (46%) for 154 yards, one touchdown, two interceptions, and two carries for 12 yards in two games.

In 2023, Dolegala completed 216 of 333 passes (65%) for 2,641 yards, 11 touchdowns, 9 interceptions, 26 carries for 95 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games.

The B.C. Lions signed Dolegala on February 14, 2024. Dolegala came in after Adams Jr. suffered the right knee injury against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in Week 9, completing 1 of 3 passes (33%) for 12 yards.

He made his first start for the Lions in Week 10 against the Edmonton Elks, completing 14 of 23 passes (61%) for 146 yards and one carry for five yards. In two games, Dolegala completed 15 of 26 passes (58%) for 158 yards, and one carry for five yards in 9 games. The Lions released him on August 14, 2024.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Dolegala on September 16, 2024. Dolegala did not see playing time in Winnipeg in 2024. He attended training camp with the Blue Bombers in 2025 and was released on May 1, 2025.

Collegiately, Dolegala played four seasons at Central Connecticut State (2015-18), completing 654 of 1,136 passes (57.6%) for 8,129 yards, 48 touchdowns, 29 interceptions, 233 carries for 452 yards, and 18 touchdowns in 44 games for the Blue Devils. 

Larry Rountree III is five foot ten and weighs 210 pounds. The 26-year-old from Raleigh, North Carolina, re-signed with the Stallions on August 28, 2024. In 2025, he had 27 carries for 86 yards, three rushing touchdowns, and four catches for 14 yards in five games.

Rountree III was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the sixth round (198th pick) of the 2021 NFL Draft. He played two seasons in Los Angeles with 49 carries for 106 yards, 1 touchdown, and 3 catches for 4 yards in 16 games.

The Chargers released him on August 14, 2023, and he signed with the Houston Texans on August 18, 2023. He was released by the Texans on September 12, 2024.

The Birmingham Stallions signed Rountree III on January 19, 2024. In 2024, Rountree III had 16 carries for 88 yards, one touchdown, and 2 catches for 9 yards in 3 games. He did not play in the UFL playoffs when the Stallions won their third consecutive championship (2 USFL, 1 UFL).

Collegiately, Rountree III played four seasons at Missouri (2017-20) with 746 carries for 3,720 yards, 40 touchdowns, 47 catches for 289 yards, 25 kick returns for 538 yards, and 2 tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 48 games for the Tigers. He was named Second Team All-SEC in 2020.

Jesse Matthews is six foot and weighs 180 pounds. The 26-year-old from San Diego, California, signed with the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, Matthews suffered a knee injury, and the Texans released him on March 15, 2024.

The Atlanta Falcons signed Matthews on July 30, 2024. In 2024, he made seven catches for 57 yards and two carries for 14 yards in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad. In 2025, he made three catches for 20 yards and two kick returns for 40 yards in three preseason games. The Falcons released him on August 23, 2025.

Collegiately, Matthews spent four seasons at San Diego State University (2019-22) with 174 catches for 2,109 yards, 15 touchdowns, six carries for 12 yards, 27 punt returns for 202 yards, and four tackles (2 solos, 2 assists) in 48 games for the Aztecs. He was named an All-Mountain West Honorable Mention in 2022. He was also named the 2019 New Mexico Bowl Co-Most Valuable Offensive Player, and the 2021 Tropical Smoothie Frisco Bowl Most Valuable Offensive Player.

Drew Wolitarsky is six foot two and weighs 224 pounds. The 30-year-old from Santa Clarita, California, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on February 2, 2025. In 2025, he played in two games before missing the rest of the season with an ankle injury.

The Winnipeg Blue Bombers drafted Wolitarsky in the 2017 CFL Supplemental Draft. In 2023, Wolitarsky made 47 catches for 668 yards and six touchdowns in 18 games for the Blue Bombers, helping them appear in the 110th Grey Cup against the Montreal Alouettes.

In 2024, he made 33 catches for 403 yards and one touchdown in 10 games for the Blue Bombers in 2024. He missed most of the season with a shoulder injury. The Blue Bombers released him on January 27, 2025.

In seven seasons, Wolitarsky has made 227 catches for 2,954 yards and 18 touchdowns in 89 games for the Blue Bombers, helping them win two Grey Cup championships.

Collegiately, Wolitarsky played four seasons at Minnesota (2013-16) with 130 catches for 1,749 yards, nine touchdowns, four carries for 13 yards, six punt returns for 28 yards, and three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in 45 games for the Golden Gophers. Wolitarsky is tied for eighth all-time in receptions (130) and ninth in program history in receiving yards (1,749). He was named Third Team All-Big Ten by the media and made the All-Big Ten Academic Team in 2016.
