The St. Louis Battlehawks released running back Dillon Johnson and offensive lineman Ozzie Hutchinson on Saturday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Dillon Johnson is six foot and weighs 218 pounds. The 24-year-old from Greenville, Mississippi, signed with the Tennessee Titans as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. The Titans released him on July 25, 2024.
The Carolina Panthers signed Johnson on July 31, 2024. In 2024, Johnson had 20 carries for 89 yards, one rushing touchdown, and three catches for three yards in two preseason games. He spent most of the regular-season on and off the practice squad. The Panthers released him on December 19, 2024. The St. Louis Battlehawks drafted Johnson in the 2026 UFL Draft.
Collegiately, Johnson spent three seasons at Mississippi State (2020-22) with 229 carries for 1,198 yards, 11 rushing touchdowns, 149 catches for 864 yards, one touchdown, three kick returns for 42 yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 35 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to the University of Washington in 2023 with a career-high 233 carries for 1,195 yards, 16 rushing touchdowns, completed two passes for five yards, one touchdown, and 24 catches for 190 yards in 14 games for the Huskies. He was named Second Team All-Pac 12.
Ozzie Hutchinson is six foot four and weighs 308 pounds. The 24-year-old from Poughkeepsie, New York, was drafted by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2026 UFL Draft.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Hutchinson as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2025. He attended training camp before the Ravens released him on August 3, 2025.
Collegiately, Hutchinson spent six seasons at the University of Albany (2019-24), playing 41 games on the offensive line for the Great Danes. In 2023, Hutchinson started 14 games and was named Second Team All-CAA and Second Team All-CAA by Phil Steele.
Albany averaged 28.4 points per game, 364.2 yards per game, 242.3 passing yards per game, 121.9 rushing yards per game, and 56 touchdowns, finishing the season 11-4, as they reached the FCS Semifinals against the eventual champions South Dakota State.
In 2024, Hutchinson was named Second Team All-CAA for the second consecutive year after appearing in six games. Albany averaged 19.6 points per game, 334.7 yards per game, 226 passing yards per game, 108.7 rushing yards per game, and 29 touchdowns.
