The D.C. Defenders signed defensive tackle Casey Rogers on Saturday according to the UFL Transactions page.

Casey Rogers is six foot five and weighs 305 pounds. The 27-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, recently played preseason NLL Lacrosse with the Philadelphia Wings and the Rochester Knighthawks.

The New York Giants signed Rogers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles (2 solos, 5 assists) and one pass breakup in three preseason games. He went on to appear in two regular-season games with no stats. The Giants released him on May 8, 2025.

The Buffalo Bills acquired Rogers via waivers on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he appeared in three preseason games. The Bills released him on August 26, 2025, and he re-signed with the New York Giants on December 8, 2025. He appeared in one regular-season game. He spent the rest of the season on the practice squad and became a free agent after the 2025 season.

Collegiately, Rogers spent three seasons at Nebraska (2019-21) with 42 tackles (15 solos, 27 assists), six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and two pass breakups in 19 games for the Cornhuskers. He was named a three-time Academic All-Big Ten (2019, 2020, 2021).

Then, he transferred to Oregon (2022-23) with 56 tackles (20 solos, 36 assists), six tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one touchdown, and one carry for 18 yards in 27 games for the Ducks. In 2022, he had a career-high 34 tackles (15 solos, 19 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 13 games.

Rogers attended Westhill High School in Syracuse, New York, where he played both lacrosse and football. As a senior, Rogers scored 62 goals and compiled 79 points as a lacrosse player. He also spent one season at Old Farms prep school in Avon, Connecticut, playing football, where he helped the team to an 8-1 record in 2017 and a berth in the New England Class A state championship game.
