The D.C. Defenders signed offensive lineman Steven Losoya III on Friday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Steven Losoya III is six foot three and weighs 324 pounds. The 24-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, signed with the Carolina Panthers as a un drafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, Losoya III played in three preseason games. The Panthers released him on August 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Losoya III spent three seasons at Middle Tennessee State University (2019-21), playing 23 games for the Blue Raiders. In 2021, he played 790 snaps and was named the team’s offensive lineman of the week three times. He was also named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2020.
Next, he transferred to Mississippi State (2022-23), playing right guard and center in 25 games for the Bulldogs. In 2023, he played 764 snaps at right guard and center, and did not allow any sacks. Mississippi State averaged 328.6 yards per game, 181.3 passing yards per game, 146.8 rushing yards per game, and 30 touchdowns.
Then, he transferred to Vanderbilt in 2024, playing 762 snaps at guard and center in 13 games for the Commodores. Vanderbilt averaged 318.4 yards per game, 178.6 passing yards per game, 139.8 rushing yards per game, and 43 touchdowns.
Losoya III attended John Overton High School, where he was named Lineman of the Year and Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2018. He also earned All-Nashville Honors in 2018.
