The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed defensive lineman Marcus Haynes on Thursday.

Marcus Haynes is six foot four and weighs 240 pounds. The 27-year-old from Bowie, Maryland, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on May 19, 2025. In 2025, Haynes made seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists), two tackles for loss, and one sack in two games. The Brahmas released him on August 14, 2025.

The Denver Broncos signed Haynes as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. In 2023, he made five tackles (3 solos, 2 assists) and one pass breakup in three preseason games. He spent part of the season on the practice squad.

The Broncos released him on November 27, 2023, and he signed with the Houston Texans on February 16, 2024. The Texans released him on June 4, 2024. Haynes signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on August 2, 2024. San Antonio released him on August 6, 2024.

In 2024, he split his time between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Cleveland Browns with three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist) in two preseason games. He spent the majority of the season on Pittsburgh’s practice squad before getting released on October 1, 2024, and the Browns re-signed him on October 9, 2024, and he spent the rest of the season on the practice squad. The Browns re-signed Haynes on January 6, 2025. They released him on May 12, 2025.

Collegiately, Haynes played six seasons at Old Dominion (2017-22) with 102 tackles (55 solos, 47 assists), 22 tackles for loss, 15 sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass breakups in 49 games for the Monarchs.
