The Birmingham Stallions signed offensive lineman Preston Wilson and linebacker Markus Bailey on Thursday according to the UFL Transactions page.
Preston Wilson is six foot four and weighs 295 pounds. The 25-year-old from Argyle, Texas, signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on May 17, 2025. In 2025, he played in two preseason games. The Tiger-Cats released him on June 1, 2025.
Collegiately, Wilson played five seasons at Oklahoma State (2020-24), playing on the offensive line in 59 games, of which 46 were starts, including 24 consecutive starts to finish his collegiate career.
In 2024, he started 12 games for the Oklahoma State Cowboys in 2024. Oklahoma State averaged 27.17 points per game, 111.8 rushing yards per game, 262.25 passing yards per game, 374 total yards per game, 41 touchdowns, and allowed 13 sacks, finishing 3-9 for the season. He was named a five-time First Team Academic All-Big 12.
Markus Bailey is six foot one and weighs 235 pounds. The 28-year-old from Columbus, Ohio, was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the seventh round (215th pick) of the 2020 NFL Draft. He played four seasons in Cincinnati with 73 tackles (46 solos, 27 assists), two tackles for loss, half a sack, and four pass breakups in 60 games, of which four were starts.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Bailey on May 8, 2024. In 2024, he made 12 tackles (8 solos, 4 assists) in three preseason games. He appeared in one regular-season game against the Los Angeles Chargers. He became a free agent after the 2024 season. Bailey did not play in 2025.
Collegiately, Bailey spent five seasons at Purdue University (2015-19) with 326 tackles (229 solos, 97 assists), 28 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, six interceptions for 107 yards, one touchdown, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 45 games for the Boilermakers. He was named a three-time Academic All-Big Ten.
