The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive lineman Warren Peeples Jr. and defensive back Warren Burrell on Wednesday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Warren Peeples Jr. is six foot two and weighs 230 pounds. A native of Stone Mountain, Georgia, Peeples Jr. signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) and two sacks in three preseason games. The Buccaneers released him on August 26, 2025.

Collegiately, Peeples Jr. began his collegiate career at Hutchinson Community College in the 2020-21 season with seven tackles (5 solos, 2 assists) in five games for the Blue Dragons, helping them win the NJCAA National Championship.

Next, he transferred to Highland Community College in 2021 with 42 tackles (26 solos, 16 assists), 14 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in nine games for the Scotties. He was named First Team All-KJCCC and an All-American Honorable Mention.

Then, Peeples Jr. went to Memphis in 2022 with four tackles (4 solos) in six games for the Tigers. He then went to Northern Iowa in 2023 with four tackles (4 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in seven games for the Panthers.

Peeples Jr. concluded his collegiate career at Southeastern Louisiana State University in 2024 with three tackles (2 solos, 1 assist), one tackle for loss, and one sack in two games for the Lions. Peeples Jr. attended South Gwinnett High School, where he was also a member of the school’s track & field team.

Warren Burrell is six foot and weighs 195 pounds. The 25-year-old from Suwanee, Georgia, attended the New York Jets rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, Burrell spent five seasons at Tennessee (2019-23) with 91 tackles (67 solos, 24 assists), three tackles for loss, one interception for 13 yards, 10 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 41 games for the Volunteers. In 2021, he had a career-high 41 tackles (32 solos, 9 assists), two sacks, and seven pass breakups in 12 games.

Then, he transferred to Georgia Tech in 2024 with 27 tackles (23 solos, 4 assists), one interception for 27 yards, and four pass breakups in 11 games for the Yellow Jackets.

Burrell attended North Gwinnett High School, where he was a four-star recruit by Rivals. In 2017, he was a Unanimous Georgia Class 7A All-State selection after finishing the season with 61 tackles, seven interceptions, 11 pass breakups, and two blocked kicks. The team went 14-1 and won the Georgia Class 7A State Championship.
