The Calgary Stampeders re-signed defensive lineman Clarence Hicks to a three-year contract extension through the 2028 season on Wednesday.

Clarence Hicks is six foot two and weighs 229 pounds. The 27-year-old from Pensacola, Florida, made 28 tackles, 12 sacks, and two forced fumbles in 18 games in 2025. He was named a CFL West All-Star after the season.

The Cincinnati Bengals signed Hicks as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. In 2022, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. The Bengals released him on August 30, 2022.

The Seattle Sea Dragons drafted Hicks in the fifth round (36th pick) in the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he made 21 tackles (10 solos, 11 assists), three tackles for loss, two sacks, six quarterback hits, and two pass breakups in ten games.

The Calgary Stampeders signed Hicks on March 26, 2024. In 2024, he made 14 tackles, one tackle for loss, four sacks, and two interceptions in 18 games.

Collegiately, Hicks played two seasons at Hutchinson Community College (2017-18) with 42 tackles (28 solos, 14 assists), 23 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, two forced fumbles, and two pass breakups in 12 games for the Blue Dragons. He was named a Second Team All-Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference in 2018.

Then, Hicks transferred to the University of Texas-San Antonio (2019-21) with 108 tackles (70 solos, 38 assists), 31.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, two interceptions, five pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 34 games for the Roadrunners. He was named First Team All-C-USA in 2021.
