The Montreal Alouettes signed wide receiver Demeer Blankumsee to a two-year contract on Tuesday.
Demeer Blankumsee is five foot ten and weighs 192 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, signed with the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. The Patriots released him on July 30, 2025.
Collegiately, Blankumsee spent three seasons at the University of Toledo (2020-22) with 57 catches for 677 yards, four touchdowns, one carry for 15 yards, four kick returns for 84 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Rockets.
Then, he transferred to Memphis (2023-24) with 98 catches for 1,578 yards, 13 touchdowns, and four carries for 11 yards in 26 games for the Tigers. In 2023, he was named Third Team All-AAC by Phil Steele after finishing the season with a career-high 53 catches for 901 yards, seven touchdowns, and two carries for 15 yards in 13 games. In his final collegiate season, he made 45 catches for 677 yards, six touchdowns, and two carries for -4 yards in 13 games.
Blankumsee attended Winton Woods High School, where he helped lead the team to an OHSAA Division II State Championship Game berth in 2017 and a semifinal appearance in 2018. He also earned All-Ohio honors in 2019 from the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association (OPSWA).
