The Calgary Stampeders re-signed linebacker Micah Teitz to a contract extension and signed wide receiver Jordan Kerley on Tuesday.
Micah Teitz is six foot two and weighs 225 pounds. The 29-year-old from Calgary, Alberta, made 48 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and one interception in 18 games.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Teitz in the second round (14th pick) of the 2018 CFL Draft. Teitz played four seasons in Saskatchewan with 127 tackles, 31 tackles on special teams, and three sacks in 59 games.
The Calgary Stampeders signed Teitz on February 13, 2024. In 2024, he made 10 tackles, 12 tackles on special teams, and one forced fumble in 18 games.
Collegiately, Teitz played four seasons at the University of Calgary (2014-17) with 191 tackles (149 solos, 86 assists), 16 tackles for loss, seven sacks, nine pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 41 games for the Dinos. He was named Second Team U Sports All-Canadian in 2015.
Jordan Kerley is six foot two and weighs 196 pounds. The 25-year-old from Austin, Texas, recently had a tryout for the Indianapolis Colts in 2025.
Collegiately, Kerley spent one season at Arizona State in 2019 with six catches for 81 yards, two kick returns for 23 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games for the Sun Devils. Then, he transferred to Southern Methodist University (2021-23) with 67 catches for 1,104 yards, 12 touchdowns, five kick returns for 93 yards, and 11 punt returns for 60 yards in 28 games for the Mustangs.
In 2022, he had a career-high 37 catches for 588 yards, six touchdowns, and four carries for -1 yard in 10 games. In 2023, he made 18 catches for 319 yards and two touchdowns in nine games.
