The B.C. Lions re-signed offensive lineman Kory Woodruff to a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season on Monday.
Kory Woodruff is six foot three and weighs 340 pounds. The 25-year-old from Sioux City, Iowa, in 2025 played 18 games, and two more games in the Grey Cup playoffs. B.C.’s offense averaged 29.8 points per game, 430.2 net offense per game, 113.4 rushing yards per game, 325.4 passing yards per game, 59 touchdowns, and allowed 20 sacks.
The B.C. Lions signed Woodruff on February 20, 2024, but he was released three days later. He later returned to the Vegas Knight Hawks, playing three games.
In 2023, Woodruff played eight games for the Vegas Knight Hawks (IFL). Vegas’s offense finished the season averaging 44.2 points per game, 70.1 rushing yards per game, 191.8 passing yards per game, 261.9 yards per game, and 57 offensive touchdowns.
The B.C. Lions re-signed Woodruff on April 24, 2024. In 2024, he played five games. B.C.’s offense averaged 24.9 points per game, 364.0 net offense per game, 101 yards per game, 283.3 passing yards per game, 42 touchdowns, and allowed 43 sacks.
Collegiately, Woodruff played three seasons at Briar Cliff University (2018-20), playing 28 games for the Chargers. He was named a two-time First Team All-GPAC.
Then, Woodruff transferred to Pittsburg State University (2021-22), playing 24 games for the Gorillas. He was named an All-MIAA Honorable Mention in 2021. In addition, he was named First Team All-MIAA and All-American in 2022.
