The Louisville Kings selected quarterbacks Jason Bean and Chandler Rogers in the 2026 Quarterbacks Draft, and wide receiver JaVonta Payton, offensive lineman Willie Tyler, and defensive end Daniel Grzesiak on Monday.
Jason Bean is six foot two and weighs 196 pounds. The 26-year-old from Mansfield, Texas, was drafted by the Memphis Showboats in the first round (1st pick) of the 2024 UFL College Draft. The Indianapolis Colts signed Bean as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he completed 15 of 19 passes (78.9%) for 197 yards, one touchdown, one interception, 11 carries for 53 yards, and two rushing touchdowns in three preseason games.
Bean spent the season on the practice squad. In 2025, he completed 14 of 24 passes (58.3%) for 144 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and six carries for 28 yards in two preseason games. The Colts released him on August 26, 2025.
Collegiately, spent three seasons at North Texas (2018-20), completing 101 of 182 passes (55%) for 1,307 yards, 17 touchdowns, nine interceptions, 73 carries for 440 yards, and five rushing touchdowns in 16 games for the Mean Green.
Next, he transferred to Kansas (2021-23), completing 313 of 517 passes (61%) for 4,662 yards, 38 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 177 carries for 904 yards, nine rushing touchdowns, one catch for -1 yard, and punted the ball one time for 41 yards in 35 games for the Jayhawks. He was named the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl MVP after completing 19 of 28 passes (67.9%) for 449 yards, six touchdowns, and six carries for 21 yards against UNLV.
Chandler Rogers is six foot and weighs 200 pounds. The 24-year-old from Mansfield, Texas, began his collegiate career at Southern Mississippi in 2019 with two carries for six yards in two games for the Golden Eagles. Next, he transferred to Blinn College in 2020, completing 56 of 116 passes (48.3%) for 750 yards, six touchdowns, four interceptions, 63 carries for 343 yards, and three rushing touchdowns in four games for the Buccaneers.
After the season, Rogers transferred to the University of Louisiana-Monroe (2021-22), completing 328 of 499 passes (66%) for 3,714 yards, 24 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, 284 carries for 720 yards, six rushing touchdowns, one catch for three yards, one touchdown, and one tackle (1 solo) in 24 games for the Warhawks.
Then, he transferred to North Texas in 2023, completing 262 of 422 passes (62%) for 3,382 yards, 29 touchdowns, five interceptions, 109 carries for 180 yards, four rushing touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 12 games for the Mean Green.
He concluded his collegiate career at California in 2024, completing 12 of 25 passes (48%) for 117 yards, 29 carries for 86 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one catch for three yards in eight games for the Golden Bears.
JaVonta Payton is six foot one and weighs 180 pounds. The 27-year-old from Nashville, Tennessee, signed with the Arlington Renegades on January 24, 2025. In 2025, he made 22 catches for 230 yards, one touchdown, four carries for 53 yards, and one rushing touchdown in 10 games. The Dallas Renegades had re-signed him on October 6, 2025.
The Arizona Cardinals signed Payton as an undrafted free agent on May 13, 2022. He played three preseason games, making one catch for nine yards against the Tennessee Titans.
Next, Payton signed with the Orlando Guardians on January 20, 2023. He played three games for the Guardians, making three catches for 47 yards before being traded to the Arlington Renegades.
In Arlington, Payton made eight catches for 117 yards in six games, helping Arlington win the 2023 XFL Championship over the D.C. Defenders. In 2024, Payton made 23 catches for 379 yards, five touchdowns, five carries for 34 yards, and one touchdown in nine games before he missed the last game due to an injury.
Collegiately, Payton played two seasons at Northwest Mississippi Community College (2017-18) with 67 catches for 840 yards, 11 touchdowns, one carry for 12 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 21 games for the Rangers.
Next, Payton transferred to Mississippi State (2019-20) with 28 catches for 372 yards, one touchdown, one carry for 11 yards, 10 kick returns for 203 yards, and 20 tackles (13 solos, 7 assists) in 22 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, Payton transferred to Tennessee in 2021 with 18 catches for 413 yards, six touchdowns, and one carry for -2 yards in 13 games for the Volunteers.
Willie Tyler is six foot six and weighs 310 pounds. The 26-year-old from Racine, Wisconsin, signed with the San Antonio Brahmas on September 24, 2024. In 2025, Tyler started 10 games. San Antonio averaged 13.6 points per game, 231.8 yards per game, 125.50 passing yards per game, 106.3 rushing yards per game, and 14 touchdowns.
The New York Jets signed Tyler as an undrafted free agent on May 2, 2024. He played three preseason games, and the Jets released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Tyler played one season at Iowa Western Community College in 2018, playing two games for the Reivers. The Reivers went 10-1 that season, including winning the Graphic Edge Bowl. Next, Tyler transferred to Texas (2019-20), but he did not play for the Longhorns.
Then, Tyler transferred to the University of Louisiana-Monroe in 2021, playing nine games for the Warhawks. Tyler transferred to Rutgers in 2022, playing 11 games, of which nine were starts at left tackle for the Scarlet Knights. He helped the offense total 460 yards at Michigan State.
Tyler concluded his collegiate career at Louisville in 2023, playing 14 games for the Cardinals. In 2023, Louisville’s offense averaged 30.71 points per game, 236.64 passing yards per game, 178.5 rushing yards per game, 415.1 yards per game, and 54 touchdowns. They finished the season 10-4 and appeared in the 2023 DIRECTV Holiday Bowl against USC.
Daniel Grzesiak is six foot one and weighs 245 pounds. The 25-year-old from Los Angeles, California, signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, he made five tackles (2 solos, 3 assists) in three preseason games. He spent the season on the practice squad, and the Buccaneers released him on April 29, 2025.
Collegiately, Grzesiak spent three seasons at Nevada (2019-21) with 42 tackles (29 solos, 13 assists), 9.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one blocked kick in 34 games for the Wolf Pack.
Next, he transferred to Utah State in 2022 with 52 tackles (24 solos, 28 assists), 13 tackles for loss, 8.5 sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 13 games for the Aggies. Then, he transferred to Cincinnati in 2023 with 46 tackles (22 solos, 24 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, three pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 12 games for the Bearcats.
