The Hamilton Tiger-Cats released linebacker Devin Veresuk on Monday to pursue an opportunity in the NFL.
Devin Veresuk is six foot two and weighs 240 pounds. The 24-year-old from Windsor, Ontario, was drafted by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in the first round (2nd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. Veresuk also attended the Indianapolis Colts rookie minicamp in 2025.
Veresuk was named the Eastern Division Most Outstanding Rookie after finishing the season with 66 tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, one interception, two touchdowns, and one forced fumble in 18 games.
Collegiately, Veresuk played four seasons at the University of Windsor (2021-24) with 189 tackles (119 solos, 70 assists), 15.5 tackles for loss, 11 sacks, one interception, four pass breakups, and two forced fumbles in 26 games. He was named a two-time Second Team All-OUA All-Star and a participant of the East-West Bowl in 2024.
