The Indiana Hoosiers (15-0) took on the Oregon Ducks (13-2) on Friday night in the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl from the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Indiana had a 14-7 lead after one quarter of play. They blew the game open in the second quarter, scoring 21 points thanks to a Kaelon Black one-yard touchdown, and quarterback Fernando Mendoza threw two touchdowns for a 35-7 lead at halftime.

In the second half, Black would rush for another touchdown, and Mendoza threw two more touchdowns as the Hoosiers steamrolled the Ducks 56-22. They will play the Miami Hurricanes for the CFP National Championship on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 7:30 pm on ESPN.

Indiana’s offense had 362 yards (177 yards passing, 185 yards rushing), 18 first downs, and the team was penalized five times for 23 yards. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza completed 17 of 20 passes (85%) for 177 yards, five touchdowns, and six carries for 28 yards.

Running back Kaelon Black had 12 carries for 63 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt made seven catches for 75 yards and two touchdowns, while Charlie Becker made two catches for 48 yards and one touchdown, Omar Cooper Jr. made three catches for 17 yards and one touchdown, and E.J. Williams Jr. made one catch for 13 yards and one touchdown.

Kicker Nico Radicic made seven extra points, and Quinn Warren made one extra point. The defense made 59 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, one touchdown, one pass breakup, and two fumble recoveries.

Oregon’s offense had 378 yards (285 yards passing, 93 yards rushing), 20 first downs, and the team was penalized five times for 43 yards. Quarterback Dante Moore completed 24 of 39 passes (61.5%) for 285 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and five carries for -28 yards.

Running back Dierre Hill Jr. had five carries for 86 yards and two catches for 25 yards, while Jay Harris had 16 carries for 35 yards, one rushing touchdown, and three catches for 32 yards. Wide receiver Jamari Johnson made four catches for 83 yards and one touchdown, while Roger Saleapaga made one catch for one yard and one touchdown.

Kicker Atticus Sappington missed one field goal and made two extra points. The defense made 61 tackles, five tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.
