The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed wide receiver Ali Jennings III and released wide receiver Dohnte Meyers on Thursday. Meyers signed with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Ali Jennings III is six foot two and weighs 200 pounds. A native of Richmond, Virginia, Jennings III attended the Green Bay Packers rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Jennings III spent two seasons at West Virginia University (2019-20) with 26 catches for 240 yards, two touchdowns, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 19 games for the Mountaineers.
Next, he transferred to Old Dominion University (2021-22) with 116 catches for 2,205 yards, 14 touchdowns, three yards rushing, and two tackles (2 solos) in 22 games for the Monarchs. In 2021, he had a career-high 62 catches for 1,066 yards, five touchdowns, three yards rushing, and one tackle (1 solo) in 13 games. He was a Conference USA Honorable Mention.
In 2022, he was named First Team All-Sun Belt and an All-American Honorable Mention by Phil Steele after finishing the season with 54 catches for 959 yards, nine touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in nine games.
Then, he transferred to Virginia Tech University (2023-24) with 26 catches for 240 yards, five touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 14 games for the Hokies. In 2024, he made 15 catches for 373 yards, three touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 12 games.
Dohnte Meyers is five foot eleven and weighs 186 pounds. The 25-year-old from Duluth, Georgia, made 65 catches for 1,056 yards, eight touchdowns, 11 kick returns for 319 yards, nine punt returns for 94 yards, one missed field goal return for nine yards, and four tackles in 15 games. He was named a CFL West All-Star in 2025.
Meyers attended a rookie minicamp with the Atlanta Falcons in 2023. The Saskatchewan Roughriders signed Meyers on December 6, 2023. In 2024, he made 24 catches for 349 yards, one touchdown, and one tackle in four games.
Collegiately, Meyers played two seasons at Presbyterian College (2018-19) with 54 catches for 671 yards and 7 touchdowns in 20 games for the Blue Hose. Then, he transferred to Delta State (2021-22) with 120 catches for 1,542 yards, 13 touchdowns, 2 carries for 30 yards, and 4 punt returns for 13 yards in 24 games for the Statesmen.
