The Winnipeg Blue Bombers re-signed defensive back Evan Holm to a two-year contract extension through the 2027 season on Tuesday.
Evan Holm is five foot eleven and weighs 180 pounds. The 27-year-old from Edina, Minnesota, re-signed with the Blue Bombers on January 15, 2025. In 2025, he made 55 tackles, six tackles on special teams, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 18 games. He was named a CFL West All-Star and All-CFL Team.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed Holm on May 23, 2022. In 2022, he made 21 tackles, three tackles on special teams, and one interception in eight games. In 2023, Holm made 64 tackles, four tackles on special teams, two sacks, and two interceptions in 18 games on his way to being named a CFL West All-Star. In 2024, he made 85 tackles and four tackles on special teams in 18 games for the Blue Bombers, helping them reach their fifth straight Grey Cup appearance.
Collegiately, Holm played six seasons at North Dakota (2016-21) with 148 tackles (101 solos, 47 assists), three tackles for loss, six interceptions for 123 yards, 33 pass breakups, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, 47 kick returns for 1,075 yards, one touchdown, and four punt returns for eight yards in 48 games for the Fighting Hawks. He was named Second Team All-MVFC in the 2020-21 season.
