The Iowa Hawkeyes (9-4) and the Vanderbilt Commodores (10-3) played in the ReliaQuest Bowl on Wednesday afternoon from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. Iowa had a 14-3 lead at halftime. The second half saw both teams score a combined 44 points. The Hawkeyes held on to beat the Commodores 34-27 to win the ReliaQuest Bowl.
Iowa’s offense had 379 yards (212 yards passing, 167 yards rushing), 19 first downs, and the team was penalized five times for 53 yards. Quarterback Mark Gronowski completed 16 of 22 passes (72%) for 212 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, 10 carries for 54 yards, and one rushing touchdown.
Running back Kamari Moulton had 14 carries for 95 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one catch for two yards, while Mark Gronowski had 10 carries for 54 yards and one rushing touchdown. Wide receiver D.J. Vonnahme made seven catches for 146 yards and one touchdown, while Reece Vander Zee made four catches for 33 yards and one touchdown.

Vanderbilt’s offense had 398 yards (347 yards passing, 51 yards rushing), 21 first downs, and the was penalized 10 times for 53 yards. Quarterback Diego Pavia completed 25 of 38 passes (65.8%) for 347 yards, two touchdowns, 15 carries for 36 yards, and one rushing touchdown.
Running back Sedrick Alexander had three carries for seven yards and three catches for 19 yards. Wide receiver Tre Richardson made six catches for 127 yards and one touchdown, while Joseph McVay made one catch for 16 yards and one touchdown.
