The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs (8-5) took on the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (6-7) on Tuesday afternoon in the Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl from Independence Stadium in Shreveport, Louisiana. The Bulldogs trailed the Chanticleers 14-3 at halftime. In the second half, Louisiana Tech’s defense shut out Coastal Carolina’s offense, while the Bulldogs scored 20 unanswered points to beat the Chanticleers 23-14.
Louisiana Tech’s offense had 295 yards (114 yards passing, 181 yards rushing), 13 first downs, and the team was penalized 10 times for 99 yards. Quarterback Trey Kukuk completed 9 of 19 passes (47.4%) for 114 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and 19 carries for 114 yards.
Running back Andrew Burnette had 18 carries for 50 yards, one rushing touchdown, and one catch for five yards. Wide receiver Marlion Jackson made three catches for 87 yards and one touchdown.

Coastal Carolina’s offense had 364 yards (311 yards passing, 53 yards rushing), 18 first downs, and the team was penalized 15 times for 129 yards. Quarterback Tad Hudson completed 25 of 49 passes (51%) for 311 yards, two touchdowns, two interceptions, and two carries for -14 yards.
