The B.C. Lions signed wide receiver Anthony Sambucci on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Anthony Sambucci is six foot one and weighs 190 pounds. The 23-year-old from Lemont, Illinois, attended the Chicago Bears local pro day in 2025.
Collegiately, Sambucci spent five seasons at Western Michigan University (2020-24) with 75 catches for 1,006 yards, nine touchdowns, one kick return for 24 yards, six punt returns for 38 yards, 10 tackles (9 solos, 1 assist), and completed 1 of 3 passes (33%) for 31 yards, and one touchdown in 44 games for the Broncos.
In 2024, he had a career-high 34 catches for 412 yards, three touchdowns, one kick return for 24 yards, one punt return for seven yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 11 games. He was named Third Team All-MAC.
