The Penn State Nittany Lions (7-6) concluded the 2025 season on Saturday against the Clemson Tigers in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripes Bowl from Yankee Stadium.
In the first half, Penn State kicker Ryan Barker made two field goals, and Clemson kicker Nolan Hauser made one field goal as the Nittany Lions led the Tigers 6-3 at halftime.
After neither team scored a point in the third quarter, Penn State scored 16 points and Clemson scored seven points in the fourth quarter. Penn State quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer threw two touchdown passes as the Nittany Lions defeated the Tigers 22-10.
Penn State’s offense had 397 yards (262 yards passing, 135 yards rushing), 20 first downs, and the team was penalized three times for 35 yards. Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer completed 23 of 34 passes (67.6%) for 262 yards, two touchdowns, and four carries for -11 yards.
Running back Quinton Martin Jr. had 20 carries for 101 yards, and one catch for -4 yards. Wide receiver Trebor Pena made five catches for 100 yards and one touchdown, while Andrew Rappleyea made five catches for 18 yards and one touchdown.
Kicker Ryan Baker made 3 of 3 field goals (100%) with a long of 48 yards, and made one extra point. The defense made 55 tackles, six tackles for loss, four sacks, and eight pass breakups.
Clemson’s offense had 236 yards (193 yards passing, 43 yards rushing), 16 first downs, and the team was penalized one time for five yards. Quarterback Cade Klubnik completed 22 of 39 passes (56.4%) for 193 yards and nine carries for -13 yards.
Running back Adam Randall had 11 carries for 35 yards, one rushing touchdown, and five catches for eight yards. Wide receiver T.J. Moore made six catches for 83 yards.
Kicker Nolan Hauser made 1 of 2 field goals (50%) with a long of 48 yards, and made one extra point. The defense made 76 tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, and five pass breakups.
