The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive lineman Gabriel Maisonneuve on Thursday.
Gabriel Maisonneuve is six foot three and weighs 236 pounds. The 24-year-old from Gatineau, Quebec, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the fifth round (44th pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, Maisonneuve made one tackle on special teams in two games. The Alouettes placed him on the retired list on May 31, 2025, as he was returning to school.
Collegiately, Maisonneuve played five seasons at the University of Montreal (2021-25) with 53 tackles (37 solos, 16 assists), 12 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 33 games for the Carabins.
In 2025, he made 16 tackles (10 solos, 6 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks in eight games, helping the Carabins win the Vanier Cup over Saskatchewan. He was named an RSEQ Defensive All-Star and First Team U Sports All-Canadian Team.
