The Saskatchewan Roughriders re-signed running back Thomas Bertrand-Hudon to a one-year contract extension on Wednesday.

Thomas Bertrand-Hudon is six foot and weighs 227 pounds. The 29-year-old from Mont Saint-Halaire, Quebec, had 34 carries for 166 yards, one rushing touchdown, six catches for 38 yards, one receiving touchdown, one kick return, and six tackles on special teams for 17 yards in seven games, helping the Roughriders win the 112th Grey Cup over the Montreal Alouettes.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders drafted Bertrand-Hudon in the fourth round (30th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In 2023, he had 13 carries for 96 yards, two rushing touchdowns, two catches for 12 yards, 11 kick returns for 268 yards, and 10 tackles on special teams in 18 games. In 2024, he had 17 carries for 103 yards, one rushing touchdown, five kick returns for 128 yards, and eight tackles on special teams in 17 games.

Bertrand-Hudon played four seasons at Delaware State University (2019-22) with 239 carries for 1,016 yards, 10 touchdowns, 11 catches for 51 yards, and one kick return for 10 yards in 27 games for the Hornets.
