The Hamilton Tiger-Cats named Brock Sunderland the new Senior Director of Player Personnel on Wednesday. Sunderland held the same position with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2025.

Brock adds a fresh perspective and valuable experience to the group. We’re confident in the collective path this team is on.
The 46-year-old from Great Falls, Montana, began his management career as a regional scout/advance scout for the Montreal Alouettes from 2004 until 2005. He was then promoted to director of scouting from 2005 to 2007.
In 2007, he left the Alouettes to join the New York Jets as a pro scout. He spent six seasons in New York before returning to the CFL, this time with the Ottawa Redblacks as an assistant general manager in 2013. Under him, the Redblacks won two Eastern Finals and the 104th Grey Cup in 2016 over the Calgary Stampeders.
The Edmonton Eskimos hired Sunderland as the general manager in 2017. The Eskimos/Elks compiled a record of 32-36, winning the Western Semi-Final over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2017 and an Eastern Semi-Final win over the Montreal Alouettes in 2019. However, after the Elks went 3-11 in 2021, he was let go and had not held a position before joining Winnipeg in 2025.
In addition to Sunderland, the Tiger-Cats announced the rest of their football operations for the 2026 season.
