The Toronto Argonauts re-signed long snapper Adam Guillemette and signed Offensive lineman Desmond Bland on Friday.
Adam Guillemette is six foot and weighs 220 pounds. The 25-year-old from Cambridge, Ontario, was drafted by the Toronto Argonauts in the third round (27th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. Guillemette has played 51 games, including 16 in 2025. In 2024, he played 17 games, helping the Argonauts win the Grey Cup.
Collegiately, Guillemette spent four seasons at Holy Cross (2019-22), playing 15 games with one tackle (1 assist) for the Crusaders. He was named a two-time Patriot League Academic Honor Roll (2019, 2020).
Desmond Bland is six foot three and weighs 300 pounds. A native of Flossmoor, Illinois, played four games for the Vegas Knight Hawks in 2025, helping them win the IFL Championship over the Green Bay Blizzard. In 2025, Vegas averaged 49.53 points per game, 151.6 passing yards per game, 96.3 rushing yards per game, 123 touchdowns, and allowed 14 sacks.
Bland attended the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp in 2024. He also played for the Southwest Kansas Storm of the Arena Football League and the San Diego Strike Force of the Indoor Football League.
Collegiately, Bland spent two seasons at Arizona Western College (2016-18), playing 22 games for the Matadors. The Matadors went 20-2 in 2016 and 2017 to appear in back-to-back NJCAA Football National Championship games. He was named a two-time NJCAA All-American. Next, Bland transferred to the University of Texas-Permian Basin in 2020, but the season was canceled.
Then, he transferred to West Florida University (2021-22), playing nine games for the Argonauts in 2022. In 2022, West Florida went 12-2. They averaged 41.64 points per game, 441.7 total yards per game, 207.86 passing yards per game, 233.9 rushing yards per game, 76 touchdowns, and allowed 14 sacks.
