The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed defensive back Cameron McCutcheon on Thursday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Cameron McCutcheon is six foot one and weighs 204 pounds. The 25-year-old from Seneca, South Carolina, signed with the Los Angeles Rams as an undrafted free agent on May 15, 2023. In 2023, he made six tackles (3 solos, 3 assists) and three pass breakups in three preseason games. He spent the season on and off the practice squad.
The Rams re-signed him on January 15, 2024. In 2024, he made seven tackles (6 solos, 1 assist) and two pass breakups in three preseason games. The Rams released him on August 25, 2024. The Pittsburgh Steelers signed McCutcheon on January 21, 2025. In 2025, he played in one preseason game before he suffered a hamstring injury and was placed on injured reserve. The Steelers released him on September 9, 2025.
Collegiately, McCutcheon spent three seasons at Gardner-Webb University (2018-20) with 87 tackles (63 solos, 24 assists), one tackle for loss, one interception, seven pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 25 games for the Runnin’ Bulldogs. In 2019, he had a career-high 54 tackles (39 solos, 15 assists), one tackle for loss, and three pass breakups in 11 games.
Then, he transferred to Western Carolina University (2021-22) with 79 tackles (48 solos, 31 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble, and one fumble recovery in 22 games for the Catamounts. In 2021, he made 47 tackles (27 solos, 20 assists), two tackles for loss, two interceptions, four pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.
