Luc Brodeur-Jourdain steps away as offensive line coach of the Montreal Alouettes

Montreal Alouettes offensive line coach Luc Brodeur-Jourdain announced on Wednesday that he is stepping away from his role.

“On behalf of the Montreal Alouettes, I want to thank Luc for everything he has done both on the field and in the community,” says Danny Maciocia, General Manager of the Montreal Alouettes. “He has always shown a warm and engaging personality, and we will miss his leadership, his kind spirit, and his love of football.”

Luc Brodeur-Jourdain is 42 years old from Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. The Montreal Alouettes drafted Brodeur-Jourdain in the sixth round (48th overall) of the 2008 CFL Draft. He played 168 games, of which 126 were starts, and spent 11 seasons in Montreal, winning the two Grey Cup championships in 2009 and 2010.

Brodeur-Jourdain won the Jake-Gaudaur Veterans’ Award, which is handed to the CFL player who better possesses and demonstrates the commendable attributes of Canada’s Veterans in 2017. He was voted the Alouettes’ Most Outstanding Canadian in 2015. He was named a two-time CFL East-All Star and a CFL All-Star. He also won his third Grey Cup as a coach in 2023.

Collegiately, Brodeur-Jourdain played five seasons at the University of Laval (2004-08), winning the Vanier Cup three times (2004, 2006, 2008).
