For the first time in program history, the Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens are heading to their first-ever bowl game. They will play in the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns in the 68 Ventures Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 8:30 pm on ESPN.
This season, Delaware finished with a 6-6 record. They averaged 29.75 points per game, 418.1 total yards per game, 302.2 passing yards per game, 115.9 rushing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and averaged 30:25 time of possessions per game. They went 73-176 on third down conversions (41.5%) and 19 of 34 on fourth down conversions (55.9%).
Quarterback Nick Minicucci completed 202 of 482 passes (63%) for 3,507 yards, 22 touchdowns, seven interceptions, 106 carries for 231 yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, and two tackles (2 solos) in 12 games. Running back Jo Silver led the team in rushing with 105 carries for 536 yards, four rushing touchdowns, 28 catches for 220 yards, and one touchdown in 10 games.
Running back Viron Ellison Jr. was second in rushing with 108 carries for 422 yards, four rushing touchdowns, 20 catches for 187 yards, and two touchdowns in 12 games. Wide receiver Sean Wilson led the receivers with 60 catches for 796 yards, and two touchdowns in 12 games, while Kyre Duplessis made 55 catches for 755 yards, five touchdowns, three carries for 19 yards, two kick returns for 33 yards, three punt returns for 73 yards, and one touchdown, and made one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games.
Linebacker Gavin Moul led the defense with 103 tackles (45 solos, 58 assists), 6.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, two pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown in 12 games. Delaware’s defense allowed 32.50 points per game, 411.2 total yards per game, 246.8 passing yards per game, 164.3 rushing yards per game, 48 touchdowns, and made 24 sacks.
Louisiana-Lafayette finished the season with a 6-6 record. The offense averaged 27.08 points per game, 345.7 total yards per game, 156.2 passing yards per game, 189.5 rushing yards per game, 39 touchdowns, and averaged 29.55 time possessions per game. They went 72.175 in third down conversions (41.1%) and 8-15 in fourth down conversions (53.3%).
Quarterback Lunch Winfield completed 106 of 180 passes (58.8%) for 1,324 yards, 10 touchdowns, six interceptions, 138 carries for 733 yards, and nine rushing touchdowns. Running back Bill Davis led the rushers with 148 carries for 786 yards, six rushing touchdowns, and 10 catches for 79 yards.
Wide receiver Shelton Sampson Jr. led the receivers with 29 catches for 495 yards and five touchdowns, while Robert Williams had 21 catches for 286 yards. The defense allowed 30 points per game, 417.2 total yards per game, 228.1 passing yards per game, 189.1 rushing yards per game, 45 touchdowns, and made 21 sacks.
Linebacker Jaden Dugger led the team with 118 tackles (59 solos, 59 assists), 11 tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, three pass breakups, and one forced fumble.
