The Montreal Alouettes signed defensive back Cale Sanders Jr. on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Cale Sanders Jr. is five foot ten and weighs 189 pounds. A native of Porter, Texas, Sanders Jr. began his collegiate career at Fresno State (2021-22) with 52 tackles (45 solos, 7 assists), two tackles for loss, one interception for 18 yards, nine pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 26 games for the Bulldogs.
Then, he transferred to Southern Methodist University (2023-24) with 79 tackles (46 solos, 33 assists), 10 tackles for loss, one sack, one interception for 15 yards, nine pass breakups, and three forced fumbles in 28 games for the Mustangs.
In 2024, Sanders Jr. made a career-high 48 tackles (24 solos, 24 assists), six tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup in 14 games. He was named a two-time DCTF All-Texas Second Team.
