The Montreal Alouettes re-signed offensive lineman Pier-Olivier Lestage to a three-year contract extension through the 2028 season on Monday.
Pier-Olivier Lestage is six foot two and weighs 290 pounds. The 28-year-old from Saint-Eustache, Quebec, started 18 games in 2025. Montreal’s offense averaged 23.3 points per game, 34 touchdowns, 329.4 net offense per game, 254.6 passing yards per game, 85.9 rushing yards per game, and allowed 26 sacks, finishing 10-8 for the season on their way to appearing in the 112th Grey Cup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Lestage was named a CFL East All-Star in 2025. He has played 64 games for the Alouettes in four seasons.
Montreal drafted Lestage in the second round (10th pick) in the 2022 CFL Draft. He played 11 games. Before Montreal, Lestage signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent on May 1, 2021, and spent the season on the practice squad. He was released on June 22, 2022.
In 2023, Lestage played 17 games for the Alouettes. He was voted offensive line player of the year. Montreal’s offense finished seventh in offensive points per game (20.6), fourth in touchdowns (43), sixth in average net offensive yards (329.7), fifth in average rushing yards (102.2), sixth in average passing yards (250.0), and eighth in sacks allowed (61) on their way to winning the 110th Grey Cup over the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
In 2024, he started 18 games. In 2024, Montreal averaged 25.3 points per game (5th), 332.9 net offense per game (9th), 84.3 rushing yards per game (8th), 264.4 passing yards per game (7th), and 46 touchdowns (4th).
Collegiately, Lestage played three seasons at the University of Montreal (2017-19). He was named Second Team U Sports All-Canadian in 2019 for the Carabins.
