The Edmonton Elks re-signed defensive lineman Noah Taylor to a contract extension through the 2027 season on Monday.

Noah Taylor is six foot five and weighs 240 pounds. The 26-year-old from Silver Spring, Maryland, made two tackles and one sack in one preseason game. In 2025, Taylor made 26 tackles, one tackle on special teams, and four sacks in 18 games.

Taylor went undrafted in the 2023 NFL Draft. He was claimed by the Arlington Renegades after the 2023 XFL Draft. He was also drafted by the New Orleans Breakers in the second round (12th pick) of the 2023 USFL Draft, but chose to join the Renegades. He attended training camp and was released on March 21, 2024.

The Edmonton Elks signed Taylor to the practice squad on July 7, 2024. In 2024, Taylor made 12 tackles and two sacks in seven games.

Collegiately, Taylor played four seasons at the University of Virginia (2018-21) with 170 tackles (84 solos, 86 assists), 30 tackles for loss, 13.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, 13 pass breakups, three interceptions for 85 yards, one touchdown, and one punt return for two yards in 44 games for the Cavaliers.

Then, he transferred to North Carolina in 2022 with 28 tackles (14 solos, 14 assists), six tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and two pass breakups in eight games.
