The Repco Supercars Championship concluded the 2025 season on Sunday afternoon for Race 34 of the BP Adelaide Grand Final from the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide, South Australia. Broc Feeney started the race on the pole, with Matthew Payne starting second.
On the opening lap, Matthew Payne got in front of Feeney to keep the lead. Ryan Wood was behind Feeney and was looking to pass him for second place. Wood attempted to pass Feeney at Turn 6, but Wood turned Feeney in front of the field, nearly collecting Will Davison. Feeney fell to 23rd place. Not long after the incident, Wood was given a 15-second penalty for making contact with Feeney.
Matthew Payne was still the leader when the race resumed on the fifth lap. The only times Payne lost the lead was when he went to pit road. Things went from bad to worse for Feeney. He went to pit road on lap 31. During the pit stop, his tire changer had problems tightening the right rear.
Late in the race, Payne went to pit road on lap 51, and Chaz Mostert pitted two laps later. Feeney continued to have issues on lap 60, and he would end up finishing in 20th place. With 13 laps to go, Mostert’s crew told him to “take it easy” and bring it home.
Matthew Payne went on to win his fifth race of the season by 5.977 seconds over Chaz Mostert, who clinched the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship. Will Brown, Kai Allen, and Anton De Pasquale rounded out the top five. Brodie Kostecki, Andre Heimgartner, Cameron Hill, Thomas Randle, and Bryce Fullwood completed the top ten. NASCAR driver Austin Cindric finished in 21st place.
The Repco Supercars Championship starts the 2026 season at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20-22, 2026.
