The Temple Owls (5-7, 2-5) concluded the 2025 season on Friday by visiting DATCU Stadium against the North Texas Mean Green (11-1, 7-1). Temple’s offense had 316 yards (144 yards passing, 172 yards rushing), 18 first downs, and the team was penalized five times for 45 yards in a 52-25 loss to the Mean Green.
Quarterback Evan Simon completed 10 of 27 passes (37%) for 82 yards, one touchdown, one interception, and six carries for eight yards. Running back Jay Ducker had 12 carries for 63 yards, one rushing touchdown, one catch for five yards, and completed one pass for 16 yards and one touchdown. Hunter Smith had 10 carries for 66 yards.
Wide receiver Colin Chase made three catches for 55 yards, while Peter Clarke made two catches for 24 yards and one touchdown, and Ryder Kusch made one catch for two yards and one touchdown. Kicker Carl Hardin made one field goal for 26 yards.
The defense allowed 605 yards (366 yards passing, 239 yards rushing), 26 first downs, with 58 tackles, three tackles for loss, two pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries.
