The B.C. Lions signed running back Antonio Wimbush Jr., wide receivers Kaedin Robinson and Jared Gipson, and offensive linemen Christian Olmstead and Josh Castro on Tuesday. All of these players signed future contracts earlier this year.

Antonio Wimbush Jr. is five foot nine and weighs 205 pounds. A native of Kingsland, Georgia, Winbush Jr. was a key contributor in helping the Vegas Knight Hawks win the IFL Championship in 2025 with 173 carries for 765 yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, 45 catches for 396 yards, six receiving touchdowns, 44 kick returns for 854 yards, five touchdowns, and eight tackles (2 solos, 6 assists) in 19 games.

He was named First Team All-IFL and the 2025 IFL Special Teams Player of the Year. The B.C. Lions signed him to a future contract on October 16, 2025.

The Iowa Barnstormers signed Wimbush Jr. on February 9, 2022. He played two seasons in Iowa with 253 carries for 987 yards, 34 rushing touchdowns, 64 catches for 591 yards, 11 receiving touchdowns, 29 kick returns for 397 yards, and five tackles (5 solos) in 23 games. He was named to the All-IFL Rookie Team in 2022 and Special Teams Player of the Week in 2022 after scoring seven touchdowns in Week 18 against the Tucson Sugar Skulls.

Wimbush Jr. signed with the Vegas Knight Hawks in 2024. He had 112 carries for 468 yards, 14 rushing touchdowns, 24 catches for 208 yards, three receiving touchdowns, 25 kick returns for 394 yards, one touchdown, and eight tackles (5 solos, 3 assists) in 15 games.

Collegiately, Wimbush Jr. played five seasons at Carson-Newman University (2015-19) with 572 carries for 4,003 yards, 41 rushing touchdowns, competed 3 of 4 passes (75%) for 134 yards, one passing touchdown, 37 catches for 527 yards, two receiving touchdowns, two kick returns for 16 yards, 26 punt returns for 223 yards, and six tackles (5 solos, 1 assist) in 48 games for the Eagles.

Wimbush Jr. became the sixth player in Carson-Newman history with multiple 1,000-yard rushing campaigns. He was named a three-time First Team All-SAC, First Team All-Region by D2CCA, CoSIDA Academic All-American, All-American by Don Hansen, AFCA Good Works Team Nominee, and a two-time All-Region by Don Hansen.

Wimbush Jr. graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Commerce and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and Management.

Kaedin Robinson is six foot two and weighs 205 pounds. A native of Asheville, North Carolina, signed with the B.C. Lions on November 25, 2025.

Collegiately, Robinson began his collegiate career at ASA Brooklyn in 2019 with 37 catches for 879 yards and nine touchdowns in 10 games for the Avengers. Robinson was named an NJCAA All-American Honorable Mention in 2019 and an All-Northeast Football Conference selection.

He did not play in 2020. Next, he transferred to the University of Central Florida in 2021 with one catch for 30 yards and one touchdown in four games for the Knights.

Then, he transferred to Appalachian State (2022-24) with 147 catches for 2,164 yards (63.6 AVG/G), 14 touchdowns, three carries for 29 yards, four punt returns for 73 yards, and two kick returns for 28 yards in 34 games for the Mountaineers.

In his final collegiate season in 2024, Robinson made 53 catches for 840 yards, two touchdowns, one carry for 13 yards, and two punt returns for 36 yards in nine games before an injury ended his season. He was named an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention, Second Team All-Sun Belt by PFN, and First Team All-Sun Belt. Robinson was set to transfer to UCLA in 2025, but his additional year of eligibility was denied by a judge.

Jared Gipson is six foot one and weighs 205 pounds. The 23-year-old from Stockton, California, signed with the B.C. Lions on May 5, 2025. In 2025, he made four catches for 39 yards in two preseason games. The Lions released him on June 1, 2025. The Lions re-signed Gipson to a future contract on November 5, 2025.

Collegiately, Gipson played four seasons at Sacramento State (2021-24) with 147 catches for 2,218 yards, 17 touchdowns, one kick return for no yards, and two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) in 50 games for the Hornets.

In 2023, he made 38 catches for 657 yards and four touchdowns in 13 games. He was named Second Team All-Big Sky Conference after the season. In 2024, he made 56 catches for 797 yards, nine touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 12 games. He was named Second Team All-Big Sky Conference.

Christian Olmstead is six foot four and weighs 315 pounds. The 28-year-old from Florence, Kentucky, played three games for the San Diego Strike Force (IFL) in 2025 with two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist) and one fumble recovery. San Diego’s offense averaged 44.06 points per game, 170.5 passing yards per game, 54.7 rushing yards per game, 105 touchdowns, and allowed six sacks. The B.C. Lions signed Olmstead to a future contract on October 31, 2025.

The Montreal Alouettes signed Olmstead on October 29, 2021. He spent the season on the practice squad before he was released on November 5, 2021. He also played for the Linemen of The Spring League in 2021, helping them win the Mega Bowl over the Jousters.

The St. Louis Battlehawks drafted Olmstead in the ninth round (71st pick) of the 2023 XFL Draft. In 2023, he played three games. He re-signed with the Battlehawks on January 23, 2024, but was released at the end of training camp on March 10, 2024.

Collegiately, Olmstead played four seasons at the University of Findlay (2015-18), a Division II college in Findlay, Ohio. Olmstead played in 42 games for the Oilers. In 2018, Findley’s offense averaged 41.18 points per game, 494.2 yards per game, 267.1 yards rushing per game, 292 first downs (fourth in the country), and allowed seven sacks.

The Oilers made it to the 2017 championship game with a 10-3 record, but lost 45-26 to the Assumption Greyhounds. Olmstead was named an All-G-MAC Honorable Mention in 2017 and named Second Team All-G-MAC in 2018.

Josh Castro is six foot three and weighs 310 pounds. A native of Los Angeles, California, Castro signed with the San Diego Strike Force on October 15, 2024. In 2025, he played five games with five tackles (1 solo, 4 assists).

On offense, San Diego averaged 44.06 points per game, 170.5 passing yards per game, 54.7 rushing yards per game, 225.16 total yards per game, 102 touchdowns, and allowed six sacks, helping the Strike Force reach the Western Conference Finals against the Vegas Knight Hawks. The B.C. Lions signed Castro to a future contract on August 9, 2025.

Castro went undrafted in 2023. In 2024, he played for the Bay Area Panthers of the Indoor Football League. Bay Area averaged 43.9 points per game, 102.4 rushing yards per game, 130.9 passing yards per game, 274.35 total yards per game, 118 touchdowns, and allowed 17 sacks, reaching the Western Conference Semi-Finals.

Collegiately, Castro had stops at Santa Monica College (2018-19), where he played six games for the Corsairs, Azusa Pacific (2020), and Angelo State (2021). He transferred to California Lutheran University in 2022.

In 2022, he started 10 games for the Kingsmen. Cal Lutheran averaged 25.80 points per game, 120.5 rushing yards per game, 226.60 passing yards per game, 347.1 total yards per game, 35 touchdowns, and allowed 19 sacks, finishing 3-7 for the season.

Castro was named Second Team All-SCIAC. Then, he transferred to Nevada in 2023. He did not see any action for the Wolfpack.
