The Ottawa Redblacks signed wide receiver Ethan Jordan and defensive lineman Tre’Vonn Rybka on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Ethan Jordan is five foot ten and weighs 177 pounds. The 23-year-old from Chatham, Ontario, was drafted by the Ottawa Redblacks in the sixth round (51st pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, Jordan made one catch for six yards in one preseason game to earn a spot on the practice squad. The Redblacks released him on June 17, 2025, so he could return to Wilfrid Laurier for his final collegiate season.
Collegiately, Jordan played five seasons at Wilfrid Laurier University (2021-25) with 310 catches for 4,335 yards, 37 touchdowns, four carries for 26 yards, eight kick returns for 139 yards, 32 punt returns for 278 yards, two tackles (1 solo, 1 assist), and one interception, 48 games for the Golden Hawks.
In 2025, he made 67 catches for 1,061 yards and 10 touchdowns in eight games. Jordan was named an OUA First Team All-Star, OUA Most Valuable Player, First Team U-Sports All-Canadian, and the Hec Crighton Award Winner.
He was named a three-time First Team U-Sports All-Canadian, four-time First Team OUA All-Star, and helped the Golden Hawks win the 2024 Yates Cup and Uteck Bowl.
Tre’Vonn Rybka is six foot four and weighs 310 pounds. A native of Nashville, Tennessee, Rybka signed with the Miami Dolphins as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. The Dolphins released him on May 13, 2025.
Collegiately, Rybka spent five seasons at Kentucky (2020-24) with 95 tackles (41 solos, 54 assists), 11.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble. In 2024, he had a career-high 34 tackles (17 solos, 17 assists), five tackles for loss, three sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble.
