The Montreal Alouettes re-signed offensive lineman Donald Ventrelli through the 2027 season, and signed wide receiver Isaac Gaillardetz through the 2028 season on Monday.
Donald Ventrelli is six foot four and weighs 300 pounds. The 25-year-old from St. Paul, Minnesota, started at right guard in 17 games and scored an offensive touchdown in 2025.
In 2025, Montreal’s offense averaged 23.3 points per game, 34 touchdowns, 329.4 net offense per game, 254.6 passing yards per game, 85.9 rushing yards per game, and allowed 26 sacks, finishing 10-8 for the season on their way to appearing in the 112th Grey Cup against the Saskatchewan Roughriders.
Ventrelli attended the Chicago Bears rookie minicamp in 2024. The Montreal Alouettes signed Ventrelli on May 20, 2024. In 2024, Ventrelli played four games. In 2024, Montreal averaged 25.3 points per game (5th), 332.9 net offense per game (9th), 84.3 rushing yards per game (8th), 264.4 passing yards per game (7th), and 46 touchdowns (4th).
Collegiately, Ventrelli played five seasons at North Dakota (2019-23), playing right tackle, left tackle, and left guard in 52 games for the Fighting Hawks. In 2023, North Dakota’s offense ranked second in the MVFC and third nationally in completion percentage (70.3).
The North Dakota quarterbacks had the No. 14 passing efficiency rating nationally (153.02) with the help of his blocking, and Ventrelli was consistently one of the highest-graded offensive guards in 2023 in the FCS by Pro Football Focus.
Isaac Gaillardetz is six foot two and weighs 217 pounds. The 24-year-old from Three Rivers, Quebec, was drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the sixth round (53rd pick) of the 2025 CFL Draft. In 2025, Gaillardetz made one catch for seven yards in two preseason games. The Alouettes placed him on the retired list on May 31, 2025, as he was returning to school.
Collegiately, Gaillardetz played five seasons at the University of Laval (2021-25) with 97 catches for 1,432 yards and 11 touchdowns in 40 games for the Rouge et Or. In 2025, he made 31 catches for 512 yards, four touchdowns, and two punt returns for 13 yards in eight games. Gaillardetz helped lead Laval to the Jacques Dussault Cup final. He was named an RSEQ All-Star.
