The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed defensive lineman Brandon Deen on Monday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Branson Deen is six foot one and weighs 298 pounds. The 25-year-old from Indianapolis, Indiana, signed with the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2024. In 2024, Deen made four tackles (3 solos, 1 assist) in three preseason games. He would later appear in one regular-season game. The Bills released him on April 17, 2025.
Collegiately, Deen spent four seasons at Purdue (2019-22) with 74 tackles (48 solos, 26 assists), 15.5 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, one pass breakup, and one forced fumble in 39 games for the Boilermakers. He was named a two-time All-Big Ten Honorable Mention.
Then, he transferred to Miami (FL) in 2023 with 18 tackles (6 solos, 12 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in 11 games for the Hurricanes.
