The Edmonton Elks re-signed defensive lineman Noah Curtis to a contract extension through the 2026 season and defensive back Kordell Jackson through the 2027 season on Wednesday.

Noah Curtis is six foot five and weighs 302 pounds. The 27-year-old from Riviera Beach, Florida, missed the entire 2025 season due to a Torn ACL in his left knee.

The Edmonton Elks drafted Curtis in the fourth round (28th pick) of the 2023 CFL Draft. In 2023, Curtis made 23 tackles and two sacks in 18 games. In 2024, he made 21 tackles and six sacks in 17 games.

Collegiately, Curtis spent four seasons at Florida International University (2017-20) with 106 tackles (54 solos, 52 assists), seven tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass breakups, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries in 41 games for the Panthers.

In 2018, he had a career-high 49 tackles (22 solos, 27 assists), 3.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, and one forced fumble in 13 games. Curtis was named an All-Conference USA Honorable Mention. After going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, he took time off from football.

Then, he transferred to Keiser University in 2022 with 26 tackles (11 solos, 15 assists), four tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass defended in 10 games for the Seahawks. He was named First Team All-Sun Conference.

Kordell Jackson is five foot ten and weighs 185 pounds. The 26-year-old from Birmingham, Alabama, made 78 tackles, two sacks, and one interception in 18 games for the Elks in 2025.

Jackson attended the Baltimore Ravens rookie minicamp in 2022. He would later be drafted by the Orlando Guardians in the 2023 XFL Supplemental Draft. However, the Guardians were not included in the XFL and USFL merger that formed the United Football League (UFL).

In 2023, Jackson signed with the Frisco Fighters of the Indoor Football League. He made 79 tackles (58 solos, 21 assists), tying the league with eight interceptions for 92 yards, three touchdowns, 23 pass breakups, and one forced fumble in 16 games. He was named IFL Defensive Player of the Year and All-IFL First Team after the season.

The Edmonton Elks signed Jackson on February 7, 2024. In 2024, he made 51 tackles, four interceptions, and two forced fumbles in 16 games.
