The Hamilton Tiger-Cats re-signed wide receiver Kelvontay ‘Moochie’ Dixon and linebacker Ryan Meed on Tuesday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Kelvontay “Moochie” Dixon is six foot and weighs 187 pounds. The 24-year-old from Carthage, Texas, signed with the New Orleans Saints as an undrafted free agent on May 9, 2025. In 2025, he had one kick return for 16 yards in one preseason game. The Saints released him on August 25, 2025. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Dixon to the practice squad on October 29, 2025. The Tiger-Cats released him on November 9, 2025.
Collegiately, Dixon played two seasons at Texas (2020-21) with 12 catches for 176 yards, one touchdown, and two tackles (2 solos) in 15 games for the Longhorns. Then, he transferred to Southern Methodist University (2022-24) with 74 catches for 1,205 yards, eight touchdowns, two carries for one yard, four kick returns for 80 yards, two punt returns for 39 yards, and two tackles (2 solos) in 40 games for the Mustangs.
Ryan Meed is six foot one and weighs 230 pounds. The 24-year-old from Brooklyn, New York, attended the Philadelphia Eagles rookie minicamp in 2025. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats signed Meed to the practice squad on September 16, 2025. Meed appeared in one game against the Calgary Stampeders with one tackle on special teams. The Tiger-Cats released him on November 9, 2025.
Collegiately, Meed played six seasons at Illinois (2019-24) with 65 tackles (34 solos, 31 assists), two tackles for loss, one pass breakup, one forced fumble, and one blocked kick in 53 games for the Fighting Illini. In 2024, he was a Campbell Trophy semifinalist, as one of the top candidates for the nation’s “Academic Heisman”.
