The Edmonton Elks re-signed quarterback Zach Zebrowski and wide receiver J.J. Jones II to future contracts that start in 2026 on Friday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Zach Zebrowski is six foot two and weighs 208 pounds. The 24-year-old from Decatur, Illinois, attended the Kansas City Chiefs and Minnesota Vikings rookie minicamps in 2025. The Edmonton Elks signed Zebrowski to the practice squad on September 23, 2025. The Elks released him on October 25, 2025.
Collegiately, Zebrowski played three seasons at Southern Illinois (2020-22), completing 7 of 11 passes (64%) for 57 yards, one touchdown, and four carries for 33 yards in seven games for the Salukis.
Then, he transferred to Central Missouri (2023-24), completing 789 of 1,155 passes (68%) for 9,881 yards, averaging 395.2 passing yards per game, 101 touchdowns, 17 interceptions, 233 carries for 1,132 yards, 12 rushing touchdowns, and one tackle (1 solo) in 25 games for the Mules.
Zebrowski was named a two-time winner of the Harlon Hill Trophy, a two-time First Team All-American by the Associated Press, a two-time First Team All-American by AFCA, and a two-time First Team All-MIAA.
J.J. Jones II is six foot two and weighs 210 pounds. A native of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Jones II went undrafted in 2025. The Edmonton Elks signed Jones II to the practice squad on September 9, 2025. They released him on September 23, 2025.
Collegiately, Jones II played four seasons at North Carolina (2021-24) with 110 catches for 1,794 yards and 11 touchdowns in 47 games for the Tar Heels. He averaged 16.3 catches per game and 38.2 yards per game.
