The Temple Owls (5-4, 3-2) hosted the East Carolina Pirates (5-3, 3-1) from Lincoln Financial Field. Temple’s offense had 233 yards (151 yards passing, 82 yards rushing), 11 first downs, and the team was penalized two times for 10 yards in a 45-14 loss to the Pirates. The loss snaps Temple’s two-game winning streak.

Quarterback Evan Simon completed 11 of 20 passes (55%) for 80 yards, one interception, and one carry for -9 yards. Running back Keveun Mason had seven carries for 48 yards and one rushing touchdown, while Jay Ducker had 15 carries for 45 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Wide receiver Colin Chase made five catches for 57 yards, while JoJo Bermudez made one catch for 34 yards. The defense allowed 614 yards (256 yards passing, 358 yards rushing), 26 first downs, with 74 tackles, three tackles for loss, one pass breakup, one interception, and one fumble recovery.

The Temple Owls visit the Army Black Knights next Saturday at 12 pm on CBS Sports Network.
