The Calgary Stampeders signed wide receiver Melquan Stovall to a future contract that starts in 2026 on Saturday according to the CFL Transactions page.

Melquan Stovall is five foot nine and weighs 185 pounds. A native of Lancaster, California, Stovall attended the Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie minicamp in 2025.

Collegiately, Stovall spent three seasons at Nevada (2019-21) with 108 catches for 1,064 yards, one touchdown, three carries for -1 yard, four kick returns for 81 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 30 games for the Wolf Pack.

In the 2019 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl, Stovall tied his career-high with seven catches for 84 yards. He finished the season with 19 catches for 171 yards and four kick returns for 81 yards in nine games. He earned Academic All-MW honors.

Next, he transferred to Colorado State in 2022 with 13 catches for 106 yards and four punt returns for 10 yards in three games for the Rams.

Then, he transferred to Arizona State (2023-24) with 42 catches for 494 yards, six carries for 34 yards, one rushing touchdown, seven kick returns for 115 yards, 17 punt returns for 188 yards, and one tackle (1 solo) in 26 games for the Sun Devils. In 2024, he made 24 catches for 287 yards, three carries for 13 yards, one kick return for 17 yards, and nine punt returns for 103 yards in 14 games.
