
The Penn State Nittany Lions (3-4, 0-4) visited Kinnick Stadium on Saturday night against the Iowa Hawkeyes (5-2, 3-1). Penn State had 266 yards (93 yards passing, 173 yards rushing), 19 first downs, and the team was penalized two times for 15 yards in a 25-24 loss to the Hawkeyes for their fourth straight loss.
Quarterback Ethan Grunkemeyer completed 15 of 28 passes (53.5%) for 93 yards, two interceptions, and six carries for one yard. Running back Kaytron Allen had 28 carries for 145 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and three catches for seven yards.
Wide receiver Trebor Pena made three catches for 19 yards, while Luke Reynolds made three catches for 16 yards. The defense allowed 313 yards (68 yards passing, 245 yards rushing), 11 first downs, with 46 tackles, two tackles for loss, one interception, and one pass breakup. Penn State will be off next week.
