The Dallas Renegades re-signed defensive end Willie Taylor III on Tuesday according to James Larsen.
Willie Taylor III is six foot four and weighs 246 pounds. The 26-year-old from Cochran, Georgia, re-signed with the Renegades on September 27, 2024. In 2025, he made 23 tackles (16 solos, 7 assists), eight tackles for loss, seven sacks, two pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and two fumble recoveries in 10 games.
Taylor III signed with the Arlington Renegades on January 13, 2023. In 2023, he made 16 tackles (11 solos, 5 assists), eight tackles for loss, four sacks, three pass breakups, one interception, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 10 games.
The Renegades released him on May 16, 2023, and he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars on May 17, 2023. He made one tackle (1 assist) in two preseason games. The Jaguars released him on August 29, 2023. The Renegades re-signed Taylor III on November 21, 2023. In 2024, Taylor III made 17 tackles (9 solos, 8 assists), three tackles for loss, and 1.5 sacks in 10 games.
Collegiately, Taylor III played four seasons at Washington State (2018-21) with 69 tackles (39 solos, 30 assists), 16 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, one interception for 40 yards, three pass breakups, and five forced fumbles in 40 games for the Cougars. Then, Taylor III transferred to Eastern Kentucky University in 2022 with 34 tackles (18 solos, 16 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, two sacks, and three pass breakups in 11 games for the Colonels.
