
The D.C. Defenders re-signed tight ends Ben Bresnahan and Mason Fairchild, and offensive lineman Tykeem Doss on Monday according to James Larsen.
Ben Bresnahan is six foot four and weighs 243 pounds. The 24-year-old from Cumming, Georgia, re-signed with the Defenders on October 16, 2024. In 2025, he made 10 catches for 163 yards and one touchdown in 10 games. In the playoffs, he made one catch for seven yards, helping the Defenders win the UFL Championship.
Bresnahan attended the Atlanta Falcons rookie minicamp in 2023. The D.C. Defenders signed Bresnahan on January 27, 2024, and he was released on March 10, 2024. The Defenders re-signed him on April 23, 2024. He did not see any action for the Defenders in 2024.
Collegiately, Bresnahan played five seasons at Vanderbilt (2018-22) with 61 catches for 701 yards and five touchdowns in 43 games for the Commodores.
Mason Fairchild is six foot four and weighs 260 pounds. The 24-year-old from Andale, Kansas, signed with the D.C. Defenders on December 12, 2024. In 2025, he made four catches for 26 yards in eight games. In the playoffs, he made one catch for 14 yards when the Defenders won the UFL Championship over the Michigan Panthers.
The New Orleans Saints signed Fairchild as an undrafted free agent on August 3, 2024. In 2024, Fairchild made three catches for 31 yards in two preseason games. The Saints released him on August 29, 2024.
Collegiately, Fairchild played five seasons at Kansas (2019-23) with 82 catches for 1,111 yards, 10 touchdowns, and five tackles (4 solos, 1 assist) in 58 games for the Jayhawks. He was named Second Team All-Big XII in 2022.
Tykeem Doss is six foot five and weighs 380 pounds. The 26-year-old from Aliceville, Alabama, signed with the D.C. Defenders on November 2, 2024. In 2025, he started 10 games.
D.C. averaged 22.5 points per game, 98.9 rushing yards per game, 252.1 passing yards per game, 351 yards per game, and 27 touchdowns. The Defenders went on to win their first UFL Championship over the Michigan Panthers 58-34.
The Baltimore Ravens signed Doss as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2023. He spent the season on the practice squad. The Ravens released him on August 11, 2024, and he was acquired by the Pittsburgh Steelers via waivers on August 12, 2024. In 2024, He appeared in two preseason games. The Steelers released him on August 27, 2024.
Collegiately, Doss played two seasons at East Central Community College (2018-19), playing right guard in 11 games for the Warriors. In 2019, he was named First Team All-MACJC and NJCAA All-Region 23 football team.
Then, Doss transferred to Southern Mississippi (2020-22), playing left tackle and left guard in 28 games for the Golden Eagles. In 2022, Southern Mississippi averaged 25.31 points per game, 141.7 rushing yards per game, 207.54 passing yards per game, and 39 touchdowns, finishing 7-6 in the season and played Rice in the LendingTree Bowl, beating the Owls 38-24.
