The Temple Owls (3-3, 1-1) hosted the Navy Midshipmen (6-0, 4-0) on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field. Temple’s offense had 518 yards (345 yards passing, 173 yards rushing), 27 first downs, and the team was penalized two times for 25 yards in a 32-31 loss.
Quarterback Evan Simon completed 25 of 36 passes (69.4%) for 345 yards, one touchdown, five carries for 20 yards, and one rushing touchdown. Running back Jay Ducker had 24 carries for 97 yards and one rushing touchdown.
Wide receiver Kajiya Hollawayne made nine catches for 146 yards, while JoJo Bermudez made five catches for 74 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 52 tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.
