
The Ottawa Redblacks signed defensive back Iverson Brown to a future contract that starts in 2026 on Sunday according to the CFL Transactions page.
Iverson Brown is six foot two and weighs 207 pounds. The 24-year-old from Belleville, Illinois, attended the Cleveland Browns rookie minicamp in 2025.
Collegiately, Brown spent four seasons at Illinois State University (2018-21) with 83 tackles (55 solos, 28 assists), two tackles for loss, half a sack, one interception, six pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 32 games for the Redbirds.
In the Fall 2021 season, he ranked fifth on the team with 49 tackles (34 solos, 15 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, one interception, four pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 11 games.
Then, he transferred to Southern Illinois University (2023-24) with 125 tackles (62 solos, 63 assists), 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack, five interceptions for 72 yards, 12 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in 28 games for the Salukis.
In 2024, he was named an All-MFVC Honorable Mention after making 92 tackles (45 solos, 47 assists), 4.5 tackles for loss, five interceptions for 92 yards, 11 pass breakups, and one fumble recovery in 15 games.
