
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (3-3, 0-3) visited Husky Stadium on Friday night against the Washington Huskies (5-1, 2-1). Rutgers had 493 yards on offense (386 yards passing, 107 yards rushing), 25 first downs, and the team was penalized four times for 31 yards in a 38-19 loss to the Huskies. It was the Scarlet Knights’ third loss in a row.
Quarterback Athan Kaliakmanis completed 31 of 50 passes (62%) for 386 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, and 11 carries for 11 yards. Running back Antwan Raymond had 15 carries for 89 yards, seven catches for 89 yards, and one touchdown.
Wide receiver Ian Strong led the receivers with seven catches for 124 yards, while K.J. Duff made three catches for 59 yards and one touchdown. The defense made 50 tackles, four tackles for loss, one sack, and one pass breakup.
Washington quarterback Demond Williams Jr. completed 21 of 27 passes (77%) for 402 yards, two touchdowns, 13 carries for 136 yards, and two rushing touchdowns.
Rutgers will look to end the three-game losing streak against #3 Oregon next Saturday at 6:30 pm on the Big Ten Network.
