
The Birmingham Stallions signed offensive linemen Chasen Hines and Earl Bostick Jr. on Tuesday according to James Larsen.
Chasen Hines is six foot three and weighs 335 pounds. The 26-year-old from Marshall, Texas, was drafted by the New England Patriots in the sixth round (210th pick) of the 2022 NFL Draft.
In 2022, he played two preseason games, but an undisclosed injury sidelined him for the season. The Patriots released him on August 23, 2023. The Miami Dolphins signed him to the practice squad on August 31, 2023. In 2024, he played two preseason games. The Dolphins released him on May 8, 2025.
Collegiately, Hines played four seasons at LSU (2018-21), playing right guard and left guard in 35 games, of which 17 were starts for the Tigers. In 2021, LSU averaged 26.54 points per game, 368.8 yards per game, 254.4 passing yards per game, 114.4 rushing yards per game, 41 touchdowns, and allowed 38 sacks, finishing 6-7 for the season. He is a member of the 2019 CFP National Championship team.
Earl Bostick Jr. is six foot six and weighs 310 pounds. The 26-year-old from Barnwell, South Carolina, signed with the Dallas Cowboys as an undrafted free agent on May 12, 2023. He played four preseason games in two seasons. Bostick Jr. suffered a leg injury and missed the 2024 season. The Cowboys released him on April 30, 2024.
Collegiately, Bostick Jr. spent six seasons at Kansas (2017-22), starting as a tight end for one season before moving to the offensive line. He made one catch for eight yards, one touchdown, five tackles (5 solos), and one fumble recovery in 58 games for the Jayhawks. In 2022, Kansas averaged 35.62 points per game, 437.9 yards per game, 183.5 rushing yards per game, 254.39 passing yards per game, 63 touchdowns, and allowed 12 sacks, finishing 6-7 for the season.
Bostick Jr. was named an All-Big 12 Honorable Mention, Second Team Academic All-Big 12, and Second Team Academic All-America.
