The Calgary Stampeders signed running back Antario Brown to the practice squad and released defensive back Tyler Richardson on Tuesday.

Antario Brown is five foot ten and weighs 221 pounds. The 22-year-old from Savannah, Georgia, played four seasons at Northern Illinois (2021-24) with 518 carries for 3,090 yards, 26 rushing touchdowns, 21 catches for 263 yards, and two touchdowns in 40 games for the Huskies.

In 2023, he had 212 carries for 1,296 yards, 10 rushing touchdowns, 12 catches for 52 yards, and one touchdown in 13 games. He was named First Team All-MAC. He became the ninth player in school history to surpass 3,000 career rushing yards.

Tyler Richardson is five foot ten and weighs 188 pounds. The 26-year-old from Cincinnati, Ohio, attended a rookie minicamp for the Indianapolis Colts in 2023.

The Calgary Stampeders signed Richardson on November 9, 2023. In 2024, he made 30 tackles, two tackles on special teams, and one interception in 10 games. In 2025, Richardson made 33 tackles and one tackle on special teams in seven games.

Collegiately, Richardson played four seasons at Tiffin University (2019-22) with 112 tackles (68 solos, 44 assists), 1.5 tackles for loss, half a sack, one fumble recovery, three interceptions for 39 yards, and 18 pass breakups in 37 games for the Dragons.
